MUSICAL COLLABORATION

Question:

How does Art Media Fuse address ownership and copyrights of musical collaborative works?

Answer:

If it is determined that the requested guitar additions to the customer's existing musical works are minimal and limited (e.g. a solo guitar fill, simple background rhythm, etc.), the customer will gain full ownership of such additions unless they decide otherwise. This situation will be considered a 'work made for hire', and musical contribution credits would be appreciated, though they will not be required.

If it is determined that the requested guitar additions to the customer's existing musical works are to be substantial and integral to the project (e.g. contributing identifieable hooks, core rhythms, etc.), a contract must be signed which establishes co-authorship of the final product and respective percentages of its ownership. This contract will be provided by Art Media Fuse and it must be signed by participating parties before work begins.

Question:

Will Art Media Fuse reproduce and sell a musical collaborative work after services have been rendered?

Answer:

If a contract is signed which establishes co-authorship of a song, Art Media Fuse may negotiate with the customer terms of sale and publishing.  If the service provided is determined to be a 'work made for hire', then Art Media Fuse will not reproduce the commissioned work to offer for sale.  All musical collaborative works are documented and posted on this website as examples of past work for prospective clients.

Question:

What software is used for collaborative recording and production?

Answer:

Avid ProTools software is used for all recording and production.

Question:

What type of guitar sounds are available?

Answer:

Electric and/or acoustic guitar sounds with numerous filters and effects (e.g. distortion, flanger, phaser, clean, reverb, delay, etc.) are available upon request.

Question:

Would Art Media Fuse provide an orignal song or sound recording as the starting point for collaboration?

Answer:

Art Media Fuse does not typically provide orginal songs or sound recordings to initiate collaboration with the customer.  Rhythm and lead guitar composition is offered to overlay and enhance existing songs or sound recordings provided by the customer.

Question:

How does Art Media Fuse receive payment for musical collaborative works?

Answer:

The typical and preferred payment method is through Pay Pal.
